Knowing Salvador requires a bit of time, because there is much to see.
The frequency of sunny days is related to the amount of beaches, which are innumerous, starting with the closest to the Hotel, the beach of Ondina.
Going to the Center, by the sea frontline, you can find one of the most pleasant and celebrated beach of the city, the Porto da Barra, with its calm waters and many people, all waiting to the incomparable sunset.
To the north there are many famous beaches attended by the tanned youth, like Jaguaribe, Itapoã, Flamengo and Stella Maris. They are a little more distant, but still essential to visit.
The hotel also offers access to a tour to the beaches and villages of the north coast of Bahia, and to schooners for tours at the baía de Todos os Santos (All Saints bay).
The Historic City Center also requires a mandatory visit. The Pelourinho and the Carmo have big historical buildings on which every door or window from past centuries seems to tell a great story.
A great call is to visit the church of São Francisco, also known as “the golden church”, chat with a typical baiana and watch a roda of capoeira, with the rhythm of the intriguing berimbau.
At the center and throughout the city there are many bars, restaurants and lots of interesting people, with much story to tell with that joy that only people from Bahia have.
Don’t forget to try the really famous and tasteful acarajé.
Salvador is breathtaking!
