The area

The Portobello Hotel is located at Ondina, a nice neighborhood that is close to everything, offering a great beach, bars and restaurants nearby. It is at its main avenue that the biggest attractions parade at Carnival, at the famous Barra/Ondina circuit.

The hotel is a few minutes away from the Historic City Center (where the Pelourinho stays at), Iguatemi and Tancredo Neves Avenue, modern financial center where the big malls are, the Conventions Center and the international airport.

Very close to the hotel is also the Rio Vermelho, a bohemian well known neighborhood where lively bars and restaurants are, most of them with live music.

The hotel also offers access to a tour to the beaches and villages of the north coast of Bahia, and to schooners for tours at the baía de Todos os Santos (All Saints bay).
